I discovered that pizza when I went to an italian restaurant not so long ago. I was looking for something a bit different than the good old margherita pizza…and I think I have found the best pizza ever!!! It is sooo yummy. I love the mix between sweet and savoury food anyway but this combination is to die for. And on top of that, it is super easy to do and it doesn’t take a lot of time. Just try it and see for yourself! It will probably surprise your guests! 😉
- 1 pizza dough (ready-made in my case…but you could also do it yourself!)
- 4-5 good tbsp tomato sauce
- 200 g mozzarella, sliced
- 3-4 fresh figs, sliced
- 4-5 slices parma ham
- a good tsp of honey
1. Pre-heat your oven to 230-240°C. Prick the dough with a fork to stop it from rising and spread the tomato paste over the base. Scatter the mozzarella, the parma ham and the figs onto your pizza (I like to put it in that order but you can do it any way you like).
2. Cook in the oven for 15-20 minutes (check your oven, you might need a bit more time!). When the pizza is out of the oven, drizzle with the honey…and just enjoy (I’m hungry now just thinking about it!)!
